About Big Day Books

As working mothers, we wanted to devote all our spare time to being with our families. By the time our babies were asleep, we were ready to pass out ourselves. Whenever our children had a milestone event, we were sure we’d find the time to enter it in their baby books.

By the time they were almost a year old, we found ourselves staring into the pages of mostly blank books. We remembered having emailed our families updates throughout the months when we were at work. It was so much easier to type messages to people than write things out. Also, our computers were pretty much in front of us most of the time, unlike those empty books.

After talking to our friends, we found out we were not alone. They too, only made the first entries and had begun writing milestones on scraps of paper or calendars, or not at all.

Combining our experience of over 12 years in Graphic Design, over 14 years in marketing and training in book making, we were determined to find a better way. The result was Big Day Books. It has taken almost two years to ensure the quality and ease of performance needed to launch Big Day Books. In the process, we have had our second children. It took us 20 minutes to complete half a book for each of them. Something that would have taken us much more time and stress if we had used traditional books. On second thought…they would probably still be blank.
